Bbmin9 - C7b9 - Eb7 - Gb7#11 - A7 - Abmaj7 - Cmin7 - Abmaj7 - F7
This is an exercise in chord substitutions. If Bbmin9 is my ii chord, Eb7 is my V, and Abmaj7 is my I. Using the half-whole diminished scale, the V chord can be played as C7b9, Eb7, Gb7#11, and A7. The I chord can be substituted diatonically for the iii chord, so Abmaj7 can become Cmin7. I throw in a secondary dominant chord (F7) to resolve back to the ii chord. Honestly this was cool, but didn’t sound great to me, so I did some synth design and made the piece super weird instead.
