Cmaj9 - Bbmin9 - Abmaj9 -Gbmin9 - Emaj9 - Dmin9
This song was inspired by the concept of Negative Harmony, although I still don’t quite understand it fully. Taking a Cmaj9 chord and reversing the intervals so they go downward instead of upward gives us Bbmin9. If I do the same to Bbmin9, it gives us Abmaj9 and so on. This gave an eerie feeling, but I liked it and so I ran with it to create this piece. I’ll definitely be doing more study on the concept of negative harmony!
